A cup o’ coffee, a cuppa tea, a Colombian tinto, or even a big glass of Southern US sweet iced tea. Each in its own cultural context expresses hospitality. The stopping by for a visit, knowing that you are always welcome. The sharing of life’s events, and if you’re lucky, a good story.
I am not selling coffee, tea, or any other brewed product. Truth is, I cannot even offer you any physical refreshment. What I can provide, however, is a good story. That I can brew for you.
A young friend once told me, “Larry, every thing I read in my history book is something you have lived.” And so it is. The life experiences will accumulate, ready to be shared, if one is only willing.
Our lives are more interesting than we think. We rush on to the next thing as if the last thing disappeared. Yet there is no life without context. We do not live in some mystical eternal present. We are the sum of our experiences, so why pretend we don’t have any.
So I began this project with a promise: The stories I share with you, sometimes humorous –sometimes reflective -will all be true. Not all worthy of the history books, but a part of my story, nonetheless. So sit back, grab your favorite refreshment, as I bring you a real life story, carefully collected and curated, and brewed especially for you! . . . . . . . Go to The Stories
